Due to the COVID-19 virus meeting restrictions, we cancelled the Registration Day for Kindergartners 2020-2021, which was previously scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
Instead we ask you to do the following:
- Register your Kindergarten online a.s.a.p. if you haven’t already done so, using this link*
- Fill out this Kindergarten AM, PM, or ALL DAY Preference Form
*Common Mistake. While registering your student in Aspire, make sure to add BOTH parents (if applicable) to the “CONTACTS” section, by clicking “+Add New Contact”. Parents should not be listed in the “Emergency Contacts” section. as they will not be given web access, which prevents them from accessing Aspire, receiving ParentSquare messages from the school, etc.
When we are able to open school again we will plan another day for parents to submit the following to our office:
- Immunization record, signed by a medical provider
- Birth certificate
- Proof of Residency (2x) – not required for students attending on a permit
If you have a child who will be five (5) years of age before September 2, 2020, he/she qualifies for next year’s Kindergarten program.
How to apply for a permit to attend: If your Kindergarten student does not live within our school boundaries, and you would like him/her to attend Viewmont Elementary next year, you will have to apply for a permit. The Murray City School District Office, where you would go to apply for a permit, does not allow visitors at the moment, due to the COVID-19 virus. Instead, the application process can now be done online: MCSD Non-Resident Application.</>
